"Air-pain"

Films: Tail Sting (2001)

Alias: None

Type: Man-Made

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: Half that of average sized german shepards.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Not too long from this year, we'll be seeing how people handle serpents while on a crowded place several thousand feet above the air. But for the moment, take the time to enjoy what happens when the people are stuck with worse creatures. Namely, SCORPIONS.

History: Today, an airplane from Australia departs, and it's got quite the cast on board. We've got karate folk, fast-talking city folk, and some amoral scientists that happen to have cargo containing mutant scorpions. Scorpions thought to help combat several diseases, and made with a laundry list of genes including that of the prehistoric scorpions of old. As one might guess, the deadly arachnids don't stay boxed for long, and soon the plane becomes a cage where the humans are the prisoners.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: All of the scorpions and most of the people are killed when the door to the plane is opened mid-flight, sending them flying out. But the queen scorpion lives, yet is killed later after eating the person who started this mess and getting electrocuted by defibrillators. However, after the plane finally lands, at least one scorpion gets away while still in infancy...

Powers/Abilities: A deadly venom in their stingers as well as near-impenetrable hides.

Weakness: Heavy artillery and electricity.

Scariness Factor: 4-Looking less like scorpions and more like armored demons, these things are bad enough when attacking. But combined with the claustrophobic setting, it's a nightmare. Once you're stung, it's all over...

Trivia: -The main human antagonist of this film survives his sting due to having been stung so many times that he's immune. This is not possible in real life, as subsequent scorpion stings will only make people more allergic to them.

-This film was originally known as "Tail Spin". Imagine if Baloo the bear actually had to deal with this mess...
